Sometimes it's the little things... (by Amanda)

...in life that count. After being very discouraged with taking tests and not seeming to be able to retain what I have studied I finally did well on one. I can now say the Lord's Prayer almost perfectly in French (if you don't count off for pronunciation). Yes, it would probably be said very slowly as I think carefully about each word, but I can write it almost perfectly with the accents in all the right places and with correct punctuation. I give thanks to God who has allowed the little victories and encouragement from the many new friends around me.

Notre Père:

Notre père qui es aux cieux. Que ton nom soit sanctifié. Que ton règne vienne; que ta volontè soit faite sur la terre comme au ciel. Donne-nous aujourd’hui notre pain quotidien, Pardonne-nous nos offenses comme nous pardonnons aussi à ceux qui nous ont offensés. Ne nous laisse pas entrer dans la tentation mais délivre-nous du malin, car c’est à toi qu’appartiennent, dans tous les siècles, le règne, la puissance et la gloir, Amen.
