Back Again, Again (by Thom)

We got back from Segou this evening. We had a mixed day as we appeared before the judge who will make a final decision on the adoption of Miriam & Hannah. The girl's father was there and he gave his consent to the whole process. However, the judge declined to issue a final judgment and told us that he will finalize the adoption in the next 2 weeks. It wasn't exactly what we were hoping for but we are happy that many good things happened and that we have an end in sight. We'll be returning to Segou in the next couple of weeks.
